Terms of Service
Last updated: [LAUNCH DATE]. DRAFT: have a lawyer review this before launch.
1. What PlainIEP is
PlainIEP is an education and organization tool. It helps parents understand IEP documents, prepare for meetings and draft letters. It is not a law firm, it does not provide legal advice, and it does not create an attorney-client or advocate relationship. AI output can be wrong or incomplete, so check it against the original document.
2. Eligibility
You must be 18 or older and the parent or legal guardian of the child, or otherwise authorized to hold the documents you upload.
3. Founding pre-orders
Pre-orders are charged when placed. If we don't launch within [90] days, we'll refund you in full. You can also ask for a full refund up to 14 days after launch. After that, subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel, and you can cancel anytime in your account or by email.
4. Your content
You own what you upload. You give us permission to process it only to provide the service to you. We do not use it to train AI models.
5. Acceptable use
Don't upload documents you aren't authorized to share, and don't misuse the service.
6. No warranty; limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the previous 12 months.
7. Governing law
[STATE] law. Contact: [email protected].
